Owners: New Glory Pty. Ltd. Billy & Amir Ng Location: 887 Murray Valley Highway, Echuca Size: 37.69 ha 93 acres Winery: Construction of the Hopwood Winery was begun in 1998 by a consortium of growers. The present owners purchased the winery and property in Aug 12th 2003 with the vision of processing the fruit from their own vineyard and developing a uniquely Echuca brand of quality wines. The facility has been expanded to process the total production off our Gulval vineyard as well as providing a premium contract processing facility for a small number of local growers. Modern in construction to ensure clean, efficient handling of fruit, but utilizing a good measure of traditional methodology, ensures the expression of the area characteristic into the fruit and resultant wine. The soil, local climate, vineyard design and methods employed all play their part in defining the flavour and structure of our range of wines. Two ranges of varietal wines are produced for commercial distribution; Charlottes Farm Shiraz Cabernet sauvignon Verdelho Chardonnay Sangiovese Single Vineyard SMPV – Shiraz blend CPVM – Cabernet blend Petite Syrah Petit Verdot Chardonnay Henry’s Port and Charlotte’s Muscat are sold through cellar door. |
